About Us

Our Design

Golden Health Care Center strives to design its spaces so that residents feel they belong to a small, close-knit group rather than a large institution. Moving from a private home or apartment into a bigger group setting can be overwhelming and stressful. By organizing residents into smaller, family-sized groups, much of that stress and confusion can be reduced.

Our communities are arranged into compact groups—often called households or clusters—where 15 to 18 residents live together. This approach creates a warm, personal atmosphere that offers a sense of stability and familiarity. Golden Health Care Center follows the Aging in Place philosophy, meaning each cluster is equipped to support residents as their care needs increase, without requiring a disruptive move.

Every cluster includes its own kitchen, dining area, living room, and therapeutic bathing room. This allows residents to live in an environment that feels natural and home-like, with opportunities to take part in familiar activities such as cooking, baking, doing laundry, or exercising. The clustered layout also avoids long hallways, central nursing stations, and large shared dining or day rooms—the typical features that make a facility feel institutional. Instead, residents enjoy short, easy walks to inviting common spaces. This small-scale design helps reduce noise, confusion, and overstimulation, creating a calm, therapeutic living environment.

Golden Health Care Center’s overall design philosophy is centered on strengthening each resident’s sense of home. We aim to create surroundings that help residents stay engaged, function at their personal best, and experience a meaningful, fulfilling life.

Aging in Place Model

Aging in Place is when a resident lives and ages in their residence of choice, for as long as they want. Golden Health Care Center supports this goal by offering services, care and needed support to all residents so they do not have to move if their care needs change. It’s Golden Health Care Center’s goal to support each resident’s decision to stay in the home of their choice for as long as they want with the comforts that are important to them. As our residents age, we adapt our environment by adding supplementary services to facilitate their living conditions and maintain their quality of life. Golden Health Care Center is committed to maintaining the quality of life our residents want and to make a better everyday life whenever possible.
